"You have to let it be messy before it can be masterful." ---Explanation: Let's use voice as a medium, though this is true with all mediums of life-If your voice is tight/held/blocked, and you're trying to apply correct technique, style and emotion, it's just gonna make it harder, hurt more, and feel so fabricated that it's fatiguing. But if you've relaxed enough in mind and body, to loosen your voice, so that you barely even recognize it from your former "trying" and "efforting," which caused the tightness + fatigue in the first place, it'll likely sound *messy* to you. Here's the thing:It sounds a LOT better to me *messy* -because it's free, and we all can relax. AND FROM THAT PLACE - of relaxed freedom, THEN you can apply correct technique, style, and emotion, and wow those around you AND yourself.
